The Bible tells us that our repentance should bear fruits. These fruits show the reality that we have been changed by the Lord's grace. It is imperative that all who profess to be followers of the Lord Jesus Christ be able to show the fruit of a changed life because only then can we prove that we are indeed made new.

Paul said in Colossians 1:6 that the gospel "is bearing fruit everywhere by changing lives." He continues on to explain that this change begins the moment we hear and understand the truth about "God's wonderful grace" which was generously given to us through Christ Jesus our Lord.

This grace enables us to bear the fruit of a changed life: that we would completely turn away from the sin that Christ saved us from.
