5 powerful implications of God being our Abba Father

Galatians 3:26 declares, "For in Christ Jesus you are all sons of God, through faith." Through what Jesus has done for us on the cross, we have been given the identity of being sons and daughters of God. What does that really mean for us and how does it affect the way we are and the way we live?

A family is one of the most wonderful blessings that God can give anyone. While we may not all always appreciate belonging to a family, it doesn't mean family isn't valuable. Ask any orphaned child what the first thing they would wish for is and the likely answer would be to be part of a family.

The spiritual implication means no less. Because of our sin, we were once separated from God. But Ephesians 2:19 says, "So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God." All this is because Jesus has gifted us with legitimacy so that we now become God's children and He becomes our Heavenly Father.

Check out the slideshow below for five powerful implications of God being our Abba Father.

We are accepted. Because we are now part of God's family, we are now accepted despite what your past may be or what present struggles you may hold. Just like an earthly parent would and should accept their children no matter what, God accepts us as sons and daughters because Jesus has now paid the penalty for our sin. (Pixabay)
