Cartoon Network's hit series "Adventure Time" is returning on Dec. 17 with four brand new episodes. The episodes to air are — Seventeen, Ring of Fire, Marcy & Huntson, and the First Investigation.

Adventure Time News was one of the first to confirm the episodes' release dates. Also, previews for all four upcoming episodes were recently uploaded to the group's Facebook Page.

A little over a minute long, each of the previews render excited fans a sneak peek of what they can expect from the upcoming episodes. "Seventeen" features Finn celebrating his 17th birthday with Princess Bubblegum, Marceline the Vampire Queen, Huntress Wizard, and several of the Candy Kingdom's banana guards. The kingdom is on lockdown due Princess Bubblegum's suspicions regarding her uncle Gumball's location.

"Marcy and Huntson" features Finn and Jake spending an evening in the woods with Peppermint Butler. The latter casts a spell and summons Huntson Abadeer, the ruler of the Nightosphere. The episode will revolve around Huntson's relationship with his daughter. A well-awaited episode, fans are hoping it will shed some light on the father-daughter pair's life before the series' current timeline.

"Ring of Fire" features Treetrunk's life before the show began alongside bringing one of her old flames back into the picture. Will Treetrunks choose Mr. Pig or will she go back?

The final episode slated to air on Dec. 17 is "The First Investigation," a lore-heavy episode that brings protagonists Finn and Jake back to their parents' office.

With Adventure Time ending shortly, fans are excited to see how the new episodes will tie into the main story arc. A handful of fans are worried that the series might not have enough time to wrap up each of the characters' individual stories, but it is anticipated that the latest episodes will feature a right mix of plot-heavy and character-heavy scenarios.
