While Apple has yet to officially announce its Apple Watch 3, reports claim that the latest Apple smartwatch will arrive this year and will deliver significant upgrades to the current version of the wearable device, the Apple Watch 2, including a front-facing camera, a micro-LED display, a smart band, and an improved battery life.
It has only been less than a year since Apple dropped its Apple Watch 2 in the market, but, this early, rumors about the next version of the smartwatch are already circulating online. In fact, if the recent reports are to be believed, the Apple Watch 3 will finally come with its own front-facing camera, which, if turns out to be true, will be a welcome feature to the wearable device.
However, a front-facing camera that will allow its would-be users to take selfies is not the only improvement that the Apple Watch 3 is said to deliver. Allegedly, the Apple Watch 3 will also boast of a micro-LED display that will not only make its screen brighter but enable the device to consume less energy, too. Should this be true, it goes without saying that the Apple Watch 3 will have a longer battery life.
Apart from possibly employing the micro-LED that can prolong its battery life, unconfirmed reports also claim that Apple has partnered with Taiwan-based Quanta to make the Apple Watch 3. Allegedly, this manufacturer will work on ensuring that the wearable device will have a long-lasting battery life, which is said to be its eventual selling point once it arrives.
As if the above-mentioned features of the Apple Watch 3 were not impressive enough, rumors also claim that the upcoming smartwatch will boast of a smart band. According to earlier reports, the Cupertino-based company has filed for a patent for its modular smart band that can provide additional functions to the Apple Watch 3 and future Apple Watch models if it becomes a reality.
Meanwhile, it is said that Apple will release the Apple Watch 3 along with the highly-anticipated iPhone 8 later this year. Once it happens, only then, though, it can be confirmed whether the device will really come with the features mentioned above.
