Apple Watch 3 wins against Fitbit Ionic

The future of smartwatches look like this Facebook/AppleWatchnews

The Watch Series 3, Apple's response to the market leader in the fitness oriented smartwatch technology, has crawled its way to the top and gained the title of "smartwatch of the future."

The new Apple device has been out in the market since Sept. 22 and Watch 3's well-advertised specs and features has been delivering up to the plate exceptionally. Despite the Apple smartwatch specs, clearly the Fitbit Iconic is the better choice for people who need their health monitored at a certain regular basis. Over the years, Fitbit has been doing this and has gotten better at it with an excellent battery life to top it off. However, the Fitbit Ionic fails at putting the "smart" into the smartwatch.

With the release of the Watch 3, a future where people do not need their phones for connectivity and information may not be that far ahead. The Apple Watch 3 has the look of the future of smartwatches. Although the two smartwatches are adamant with the non-circular aesthetics that Google is selling, the Fitbit Ionic design is three years old and will easily tell onlookers that it is a piece of boxy tech strapped on to the wrist.

In complete contrast is the Watch 3. The silhouette of the smartwatch alone makes it look like a prop that belonged to a rebooted 70's sci-fi movie. The sleek and soft design matched with round edges does not burn the eyes of tech nerds, gadget geeks, or the ordinary casual person at that. The 42mm variant has a resolution of 312x390 and can go up to 1000nits of display brightness. Unfortunately, the battery on this next-gen Apple device will only last for an entire day.

While the Apple Watch 3 still needs to improve in the fitness tracking department, it is way ahead on the "smart brain" aspect. Users can answer phone calls even if they have left their phones at home. They can receive texts as well as send texts properly and easily. It can even use various messaging apps. These simple albeit important factors as well as other features that the Apple Watch 3 has makes it a clear winner for smartwatch enthusiasts.
