There are lots of things to love about "Ark: Survival Evolved," a game developed by Studio Wildcard. Especially since the developers of the game have been very generous in releasing update after update. This is exactly why the latest patch has given a huge boost to the game's playability.

As revealed on the official site of the game, the latest "Ark: Survival Evolved" update, patch v257, has brought tons of exciting stuff, including sharks that capable of shooting laser beams. This is courtesy of the TEK Megalodon Saddle, which, when used, allows laser-shooting sharks to exist. This is just among the many exciting things the video game company introduced via the aforesaid update.

There is also a total of four new creatures added to the game. These are namely Giant Bee, Liopleurodon Magicus, Daeodon Comedentis and Kentrosaurus Aethiopicus. Add to this the redesigns that Studio Wildcard brought to the game's user interface. The TEK Cave and Volcano have also been given a graphic boost.

Also included in the "Ark: Survival Evolved" update is the TEK Cloning Chamber. It refers to the ability to clone creatures. But in order to do so, players will have to spend a good amount of Elemental Shards. It is worth noting that when using this TEK Tier feature, the creatures will retain their original stats, level and appearance, among others.

In celebration of update v257, the video game company also hosted a weekend-long event, which ended last May 8. It gave players additional bonuses for taming, harvesting and XP rates. This only goes to show that the game has gotten even more exciting than ever.

It should be noted that Studio Wildcard has yet to release the full version of "Ark: Survival Evolved." Nonetheless, the developers never fail to impress the community with every update released. It remains a mystery, however, as to when the game's full version will arrive.
