Arrow season 7 star Juliana Harkavy tweets return of Black Canary

Oliver Queen is behind bars but it looks like Star City will have another savior working on its behalf in Arrow season 7.

Actress Juliana Harkavy confirmed the return of Black Canary when she posted a picture of herself to Twitter wearing the domino mask.

She captioned the striking image as 'Season 7. Let's do this.'

So she certainly seems to be excited about what's coming up next season, although she didn't divulge any more details and the photo didn't reveal any more clues as to the plot.

Harkavy has been part of the Arrow cast since season 5 and her tweet suggests she will be a key part of the action in season 7.

Production is cranking up for season 7 as the Arrow writers' room shared on Twitter a photo from a season 7 table read with Stephen Amell (Oliver Queen/Green Arrow), Emily Bett Rickards (Felicity Smoak), David Ramsey (John Diggle), and Echo Kellum (Curtis Holt).

The cast members looked really happy to be getting back into their roles as the fall premiere date nears.

Season 7 should answer the question of if and how Oliver Queen can get out of prison and whether the show will follow the plot of Supermax, which was a planned Green Arrow movie that never actually got made in the end. But according to that movie, Queen would have been prepared to work with supervillains to escape from prison.

He's behind bars because of crimes he committed as the Green Arrow so we can safely presume at least part, if not all, of the next season will see him in prison.  But from Harkavy's tweet, it looks like the rest of the team will be carrying on without him.

Arrow season 7 premieres on The CW on Monday, October 15 at 8 pm ET/PT.
