'Ash of Gods: Redemption' release date news: RPG set for release on PC this March 23

Upcoming RPG title "Ash of Gods: Redemption" set to drop on the PC platform this March 23 Ash of Gods official website

This year might just be the turning point for the RPG games genre as numerous titles make their way into the most popular gaming platforms either as a port or as a full-on new development, giving fans a look at how games have evolved from classic title to something with a more modern and polished experience.

And it seems like the surge is yet to take a halt as AurumDust is treating fans of the genre to a whole new world of RPG they have yet to discover through the tactical, turn-based PC platformer "Ash of Gods: Redemption."

According to the Moscow-based developer's announcement, its new offering in the RPG category will be dropping ahead of summer this year on March 23, first for the PC platform through Steam. In line with this confirmation, publishing of the title will be done in partnership with Russian game company Buka Entertainment.

The title, which first emerged as a Kickstarter project, is a unique RPG title that makes use of visual elements mated with a strategy-based gameplay that takes inspiration from similarly themed Japanese titles such as "Darkest Dungeon" and "Banner Saga."

In terms of gameplay, players will ultimately be the one to decide the fate of his comrades. These decisions will then have a significant impact on the path in which the story will take as it progresses.

Storyline-wise, users will be in-charge of a party of adventurers whose resources are on the decline, which according to the developers will play a huge role in difficult decisions throughout the game.

Another interesting detail in-game is that these particular choices (if done according to requirements or conditions) will sometimes result in either the loss of a major character or even the party leader, however, as developers shared, the game will continue as is.

Development for the game started over a decade ago in 2007, but it only picked up by 2016. If no delays happen, "Ash of Gods" Redemption" will be AurumDust's first-ever release.

Despite the confirmation, pricing of the game has yet to be revealed.

And lastly, platform-wise, the developers said that after dropping on the PC, the game will be ported to other platforms such as the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, mobile, and the Switch sometime this year.
