Gamers of the action-adventure video game "Assassin's Creed: Origins" are looking forward to the title's first major expansion pack to be released next week. The DLC expansion "The Hidden Ones" is scheduled to go live on Jan. 23 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

"The Hidden Ones" brings a new story campaign with Bayek and his fellow assassins facing the wrath of the Roman empire. The DLC introduces a brand-new region called the Sinai, which is mostly controlled by the Romans by eradicating any traces of the Egyptian civilization, culture, and monuments. "The Hidden Ones" takes place four years after the Origin's main game storyline with the brotherhood of the assassins growing.

Ubisoft developed the expansion to bring a new set of challenges for gamers. The expansion pack can be accessed even if the main story of the title is not finished. However, Ubisoft recommends people to dive in the expansion if they are close to or are at level 40. The level cap of the video game has also been increased to 45.

The game also brings new crafting options, new characters, and can be a standalone add-on. This means Season Pass subscription is not a requirement to activate the DLC.

Gamers are excited for the new gears mentioned in the details of "The Hidden Ones." Ubisoft mentioned that the DLC brings "four new legendary weapons, a new outfit, new mounts, and multiple new weapons that will be unlocked via progression in The Hidden Ones story."

Ubisoft assured that all contents gamers acquired in the expansion will be brought back to the main game. On Jan. 23, gamers can access the expansion by either clicking on the Quests menu or fast travel to the Sinai region.

"Assassin's Creed: Origins" is one of the biggest video game releases of 2017 with a 9 out of 10 score from IGN. There are still no reports if a second expansion pack for the game is being developed.
