Former United States President Barack Obama just released a list of his favorite songs and books from 2017. Obama's list includes critically acclaimed music artists and authors who distributed something new last year.

Obama released the list on Facebook with the message, "During my presidency, I started a tradition of sharing my reading lists and playlists. With some extra time on my hands this year to catch up, I wanted to share the books and music I enjoyed most."

Former POTUS kicked off his favorite music releases of 2017 with J Balvin and Willy William's "Mi Gente" or "My People" followed by Camila Cabello's hit song, "Havana" featuring Young Thug. Obama's list also includes some of the best rap songs of 2017 like Kendrick Lamar's "Humble", Jay-Z and Beyonce's "Family Feud," and Chance The Rapper's "First World Problems."
