Barcelona's defense were left in tatters last week as they succumbed to a 4-0 humbling by Athletic Bilbao. It's been a long time since Barcelona were overturned by such a great margin, and many believe the tie is as good as over already.

However, with the return leg taking place in the Nou Camp, and with Barcelona's host of attacking talent on display, others are not writing them off too easily.

If Barcelona can score in the first 20 minutes of today's game then they just might stand a chance. A second goal before half time would certainly spark a few looks of panic among the Athletic Bilbao supporters and players, and at that point no one would write off Barcelona's chances of completing an amazing comeback.

However, Athletic Bilbao know that if they can score even a single goal it would make Barcelona's chances of making a comeback that much worse. Although you can expect Athletic Bilbao to come out and make sure they are primarily focused on ensuring they have a rock solid defense, it is also likely that they will want to hit Barcelona on the counter attack.

Especially as the game wears on, if Barcelona are not cutting the deficit down quickly enough, then they will be forced to go all the more all-out attack, and that will leave big gaps at that back that Athletic will be hoping to exploit and claim an all important away goal.
