When Vincent and Cat first met, she was a girl of sixteen. And he was a beast. Today, four seasons later, they're married and happy. But the demons they're fighting against have refused to leave them in peace.

The eighth and penultimate episode of season 4, which happens to be the last season of the franchise, airs this coming Thursday. Spoilers Daily reports that the official synopsis for the episode as released by CW goes, 'Vincent goes undercover with a sexy operative, who Cat discovers is an assassin. Vincent has to play both sides, while Cat has to convince DHS she can still be trusted.'

A promo clip shows Cat watching from a surveillance camera as Vince kisses the assassin he's teamed up with. It's going to be interesting to watch how Cat reacts to this.

Titled 'Love is a Battlefield,' the episode will pick up where the previous one left off. Last week, we saw Cat teaming up with DHS agents to assist them in tracking Vincent down. Although it appeared as if Cat believed it was best for the Beast to turn himself in, the final minutes of episode 7 showed us she had other plans, and Vincent sensed the underlying message she sent him.

Ecumenical News explains that it is imperative for Cat to gain the trust of Homeland Security, and for Vince to get everyone to believe that his wife is after him. With only one episode to go after the upcoming one, things seem to be getting desperate for the power couple. Kristin Kreuk, who plays the smart and sassy Catherine, knows how the series ends. In an interview with Zap2it, the star revealed, "I hope the people who have struggled with the ups and downs of the (main characters') relationship will feel very satisfied by the end."
