After all, he lost some of his original value to the Lakers after Jordan Clarkson and Lou Williams got the majority of game time as the shooting guard, which certainly took some of Young's shine as a player. Regardless, this might be the most likely reason why the Lakers are keen to have him traded.

With this, rumors started flying that the Celtics might want to look for a deal to obtain Young for their team. Actually, this potential trade is considered to be very advantageous to the team, especially in terms of financial savings, as this move could possibly save them approximately $800,000 in their salary cap to be used in the future.
