The "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" DLC 2, titled Eclipse, will be released on April 19, publisher Activision has officially announced.

This "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" DLC 2 map follows Dempsey, Nikolai, Richtofen and Takeo in their continued efforts to put a stop to the zombie apocalypse.

In a secret biological research lab on the World War 2-era Pacific island, experiments on Element 115 were conducted and have turned humans, animals and even plants into killer creatures.

The horrifying outcomes of these experimentations are what players will worry about the most in "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" DLC 2's zombie map.

There are transport mechanics to check out, "devastating traps" to watch out for and classic Zombies side quests to accomplish in the "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" zombie map as well.

On top of that, "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" players also get four new multiplayer maps to explore and conquer, all of which present gamers with various kinds of challenges.

The first multiplayer map out of the "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" DLC 2 is called Spire, a futuristic sub-orbital airport terminal located high in the skies.

The second map from the "Call of Duty" Eclipse DLC is known as Rift, an ultra-modern military complex hanging over a piping hot caldera. Here, there's no turning back as "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" players are only allowed to go forward.

The third "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" DLC 2 map is a retro-style Shaolin Temple called Knockout, which caters to "a bloody Kung Fu tournament" with a twist.

Last but definitely not the least is the Verge, a reimagining of the Banzai map from "Call of Duty: World at War." It puts players in the midst of "a distant post-apocalyptic future, where two warring factions are entrenched in constant battle."

"Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" DLC 2 is, according to Treyarch head Mark Lamia, the demonstration of the studio's commitment to giving players exciting gameplay experiences through DLC packs.

The Eclipse DLC for "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" will be available on April 19 to PS4 players only.
