Candace Cameron Bure puts her foot down on use of curse words on 'The View'

"The View" host and actress Candace Cameron Bure has defended her Christian faith countless times on television, even receiving death threats at times when she did so.

But when she and the girls of the talk show recently talked about the use of curse words, Bure let people know that she is not condoning it.

It all started when they were discussing Republican presidential candidates Donald Trump and Ted Cruz, and their stance on the waterboarding torture technique, according to The Christian Post.

While Trump was criticising Cruz for saying he would not resort to this, a woman in the crowd shouted a curse word at Cruz.

The comment was not lost on Trump, who said "she just said a terrible thing," and asked her to repeat it. "You know what she said? Shout it out because I don't want to say," Trump said. The woman did so but many in the crowd apparently failed to hear it, so Trump himself repeated the word.

For her part, Whoopi Goldberg said Americans feel that they "should be able to say whatever" they want to, but Bure does not think it is wise. She told her co-hosts that she "doesn't like being called a b****" even though the word is sometimes used as a term of endearment.

Goldberg pointed out that the ladies of "The View" have refrained from using that word, but Bure claims she still hears it "around the table." To make light of the conversation, Joy Behar cracked a joke: "I have yet to call someone a skinny b****, and they say 'how dare you call me a skinny b****?'"

Twitter users sided with Bure on her stance against cursing and even wrote, "Just like all the other derogatory words, I find that word offensive. I'm with Candace on this one."

Another added: "The fact that people use it like it is, crazy!"
