Fans will now get to marvel at pictures of the upcoming "Captain Marvel" movie from Disney and Marvel, as new set photos have been revealed and hint at some major plot details for the film.

The new set photos revealed none other than Nick Fury (Samuel Jackson) of the Avengers, as well as Maria Hill (Cobie Smulders). Both are members of the Strategic Homeland Intervention Enforcement and Logistics Division (S.H.I.E.L.D.) which oversaw the founding of the Avengers.

The two Hollywood stars were spotted at the set for "Captain Marvel," which took place in Atlanta, Georgia. They were seen filming on the street with several cars and extras behind them. Hill was wearing a dark turtleneck shirt while Fury was not donning his signature leather overcoat. Instead, he wore a hoodie jacket instead, and he did not have an eyepatch. This means the film could very well feature a younger Fury since its setting was supposed to take place during the 1990s, more than a decade before the Avengers assembled.

This much was confirmed by Jackson himself, where the actor claimed, "We're going back now, and I meet Captain Marvel in more of an origin story. You'll see Nick Fury with another guy's face, somebody that's got two eyes, so that's a whole big deal. You'll see. It's prior to the eye injury, no eye patch."

That said, the same cannot be said for agent Hill, who apparently looks the same way she did during the "Avengers" timeline, meaning the set photos could also have been about the present day for the franchise.

The two were looking towards a massive green screen suspended in front of them, which led some fans to assume that they might be staring at something big or dangerous, perhaps Captain Marvel (Brie Larson) herself or some form of alien invasion.

Whatever the case may be for the set photos, it is clear that Marvel is preparing Captain Marvel a.k.a. Caroll Danvers for her confirmed role in "Avengers 4" which will set to premiere after her solo movie. Based on the comic books, she may very well be chosen as the new leader for the Avengers, as a replacement for Iron Man a.k.a. Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.).
