
"My Heart Will Go On" singer Celine Dion expressed her heartfelt message on the mass shooting at a music festival during a show in Caesars Palace in Las Vegas on Tuesday. Dion has also pledged to give the earnings from the show to the families of the victims.
The 49-year-old singer revealed that she was hesitant to perform on stage, just two days after the incident at the famed resort city, according to USA Today. Dion said that she decided to continue the show in support of the families of the victims of what was dubbed as America's deadliest mass shooting in modern history.
"They are going to need a lot of love, a ton of emotional support, as well as a great deal of financial aid," the Grammy Award winner said. Dion dedicated the night for the victims, their families, doctors and others who helped during the crisis. According to Billboard, Dion got a standing ovation when she revealed that she will donate the proceeds of the show to the families of the victims of the tragedy.
