A new firefighter is set to join the hardworking members of Firehouse 51 in the upcoming episode of the NBC series "Chicago Fire."

In "Bad for the Soul," CarterMatt reports that Stella Kidd (guest star Miranda Rae Mayo) will be the newest addition to the team. She will be the official second female firefighter aside from Gabriella Dawson (Monica Raymund). While the men in the firehouse show no sign of discrimination regarding Dawson, it will be different in Kidd's case. Her arrival will reportedly have "repercussions," and it looks like she will not be received positively.

According to Deadline, Kidd is "a fun, bawdy, tough, physical and brazen firefighter." She is as sharp as she is fearless. Compared to Dawson, who still manages to retain some of her femininity, Kidd is as tough as nails. She can cuss and yell just like any man. For some, her personality is a little bit too strong. Men may find her too manly for their taste. Perhaps this will be the reason why some of her colleagues will not find her as engaging.

Meanwhile, trouble is brewing for the entire house. A strange call will be received from the neighboring firehouse which will put Kelly Severide (Taylor Kinney) and Joe Cruz (Joe Minoso) in a difficult situation. The promo suggests that one of the firefighter pushed his co-worker while he was scaling a ladder. The situation looks serious. Cruz is the first to voice out his suspicions. The suspect appears to have realized that they are onto him and becomes too defensive. He accuses Severide that he is calling him a liar. Is this the start of a war between the two firehouses?

Elsewhere, Matthew Casey (Jesse Spencer) is busy with preparations for the election. He finally agreed to run for alderman in response to the overwhelming support he got. Unfortunately, he will soon realize that some people want to use him and the position for their own personal agenda. Will Casey back out?

"Chicago P.D." season 3 airs Wednesdays at 10 p.m. EST on NBC.
