Christian Bands to Head 2007 Hope Revolution Tour

Some of Britain's most creative Christian bands are gearing up for a special nationwide tour to encourage young people to play their own unique role in a year of "holistic mission".

Spearheading the eight-date 2007 Hope Revolution tour are LZ7, Blush, tbc and thebandwithnoname. They will be urging young people to change themselves, their friends and their communities - as their contribution to Hope08.

Starting at West Sussex in May and ending at the Wirral in June, the tour will promote Hope Revolution, a youth movement that boasts an up-to-the-minute web presence and a strong "underground" appeal.

The bands are all known for their contemporary sounds and timeless message. Free runners, singers, a scratch DJ - and dancers who have worked with the likes of Robbie Williams and Madonna - are all part of LZ7's live show.

Hundreds of thousands across the globe have heard thebandwithnoname's hip-hop and rock delivery of the Gospel. The band have just released their latest album, and recently played to more than 1,000 young people in Northern Ireland.

Hailing from Genetik The Tribe Academy, the three-piece Blush play an urban pop sound similar to the likes of Girls Aloud, Pussy Cat Dolls and Sugababes. Tbc are one of the nation's newest touring acts. This four-girl group have been performing since 2004 - and have seen many young people become followers of Jesus.

"We're operating in the most fertile mission field," said Hope Revolution's Gavin Calver, who is also Youth for Christ's director of church and schools resources. "We want to see a generation - and the nation - changed."

Organised by Innervation and The Message, the tour will visit - Horsham, 18th May; Letchworth, 19th; Halifax, 20th; Liverpool, 26th; Hemel Hempstead, 27th; Manchester, 1st June; Leicester, 16th; Wirral, 23rd.
