Similar to the road that Ronda Rousey is going through, Conor McGregor may be en route to the same path with reports that The Notorious is set to appear in the next "XXX" movie opposite Vin Diesel.

TMZ reports that McGregor has verbally agreed to star in the next "XXX" flick, "XXX: The Return of Xander Cage."

Hearing about McGregor being offered a Hollywood deal doesn't really come as a surprise. He is one of the big names that the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has right now, all the more made popular with that emphatic 13-second conquest of Jose Aldo at UFC 194 last weekend.

It will mark the second time that Vin Diesel will be appearing opposite a popular Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fighter, the first of which was with Rousey, who appeared in "Furious 7". The only question now is what kind of role McGregor would be playing, although everyone would agree that a villain role (or cohort perhaps) could be perfect for the brash-talking Irishman.

Even though he has verbally agreed to star in the said film, making it official is another. With his busy schedule in the UFC circle, anything can still happen, unless the Notorious officially signs it on black and white.

McGregor's rise to fame was credited to his ability to market himself through his brash/trash talking, something that is apparently working to his advantage and the UFC as well.

It remains to be seen if McGregor and Aldo will have a rematch, although there is word that the UFC is leaning more on a McGregor vs. Frankie Edgar tiff. To date, nothing has been made official yet as far as who will be his first challenger for the UFC featherweight title is concerned. 

Aside from "XXX: The Return of Xander Cager", McGregor is also being considered to appear opposite Mark Wahlberg on a separate film, according to another report by TMZ, although there was no mention of what film that would be.
