Those who thought that a 2018 premiere for "Daredevil" season 3 is a long way off might be in for more bad news if the reports are to be believed.

According to the latest reports, the next outing of The Man Without Fear (Charlie Cox) might take longer than expected as Netflix continues to build its Marvel TV-verse.

"Daredevil" season 3 will not hit the web until Luke Cage (Mike Colter) and Iron Fist, also known as Danny Rand (Finn Jones), are established in the universe.

This will, of course, pave the way for "The Defenders" miniseries where the newcomers will team up with Daredevil and Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter) in cleaning up Hell's Kitchen.

Since the filming of the miniseries will take place next year, Comicbook.com says that it will take a long while before "Daredevil" season 3 even goes into production.

Cox has also said before that "The Defenders" will have repercussions to "Daredevil" season 3, which means the script will consider whatever it is that happens in the ensemble show.

The addition of "The Punisher" spinoff, slated to arrive next year along with the miniseries, also potentially delays the premiere of the third run of the Cox-led series.

Either way, fans do not seem to mind the long wait for "Daredevil" season 3, especially with the four abovementioned Marvel shows to help them get by.

It is to be pointed out that the success of "Daredevil" cemented the release of "The Defenders" and "The Punisher" as well as the other shows, which suggests that the show has garnered a considerable following.

That being said, there will be a legion of fans waiting for Matt Murdock's return, even though it won't be for a couple of years. The fact that the character is connected to the other shows makes that easier.

Fans won't have to worry about not getting their "Daredevil" fix since the hero will be part of "The Defenders." As for the season 3 premiere, a spring 2018 launch is the best case scenario.
