Daredevil is expected to face off with one of his most popular nemesis when the show returns to Netflix for its third season.

While the show has been renewed by Netflix for a third season, it has not been officially announced when the streaming site will release it because of the amount of DC shows being developed in the pipeline. It is believed that the show will return after the release of The Defenders, a superhero ensemble show which will feature superheroes like Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist and Luke Cage, Cinemablend reported.

Charlie Cox, who plays Daredevil in the hit show, as well as Krysten Ritter who plays Jessica Jones, another superhero show which has been renewed by Netflix, are also expected to appear on The Defenders.

According to Cox, production for The Defenders is expected to start at the end of the year so airing of Daredevil could be pushed back as far as April 2018 instead of April 2017.

Meanwhile, rumors hint that Daredevil could be going against Bullseye, one of the superhero's arch nemesis.

Bullseye, whose film version was played by Colin Farrell is a character whose special skill involves being an expert marksman and a ruthless assassin who enjoys offing his targets because of his psychopathic tendencies.

"If we are fortunate enough to continue making the Daredevil series, I can't imagine doing a run of Daredevil where Bullseye doesn't show up at some point. It would be great to have him around at some point," Cox said .

As for The Defenders, Cox said that the show is a good opportunity for the superheroes to collaborate since the growing threat entails not just one defender, but many. He also explained how the lessons he learns from being part of the team would bleed into Daredevil Season 3.

"He [Daredevil] can't do this alone. And that's to say maybe some teamwork - He's actually going to relinquish [some responsibility]. So whatever lessons he learns in 'The Defenders' will then play into I think season three," he said.
