After the massive success of the action role-playing game "Dark Souls III," soul series fans are hoping for a fourth installment from the video game franchise. Millions of gamers worldwide are hoping for "Dark Souls 4" but there are no hints nor updates from the developers so far.

An article published by Wccftech enumerated the answers of FromSoftware's president, Hidetaka Miyazaki, in an interview with Famitsu. Miyazaki told Famitsu that the "Ringed City" downloadable content (DLC) update for "Dark Souls 3" is their final hurrah. However, he added, "At least for now we don't have any future plans for it." Many experts are convinced that "Dark Souls 4" is impossible and that the legacy of the soul series will be carried on by new video games.

"Dark Souls 3" received a 9.5 out of 10 score from IGN, while "Dark Souls 2" got a 9 out of 10 score. Other than "Dark Souls," Miyazaki and FromSoftware also took the helm in developing the role-playing game "Bloodborne."

There are other people who are hoping for "Bloodborne 2" instead of "Dark Souls 4." The most common reason for this idea is that "Dark Souls" already maximized its horizon as a gaming franchise. "Bloodborne," on the other hand, had only one expansion pack, "Bloodborne: The Old Hunters."

There are also gamers and critics saying that the game setting and features of "Bloodborne" exceeds the third installment of the soul series. According to Nowloading, the enemy variety and weapon choices of "Bloodborne" are much more sophisticated.

However, despite all the debates and forums, fans are still hoping for an ounce of information about the production of "Dark Souls 4" or "Bloodborne 2." There are already suggestions from gamers on what to include in the games if they are ever confirmed. The most common idea is for a more extensive storyline and cutscenes.
