"Destiny 2" is not set to be released until fall of next year, but if the rumors are to be believed, fans will get an early look of the first-person shooter sequel as early as next month.

The speculations began when Bungie community manager David Dague revealed in his weekly update that they are headed to Anaheim, California.

Anaheim is, of course, the location for this year's PlayStation Experience (PSX) scheduled Dec. 3 and 4. "The particulars of our mission are still a mystery. We'll cross that finish line soon," Dague teased.

He went on to tease that "Thanksgiving will be visited upon our shores. There will still be blog fodder for your reading eyes. Intelligence reports it will be random and light."

VG247 speculates that Bungie will have a demo of "Destiny 2" at the PlayStation Experience. Before that, though, the publication believes that the upcoming sequel will make an appearance at The Game Awards as well.

The annual awards ceremony will take place on Dec. 1 at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. Seeing that The Game Awards is the go-to for big game announcements, VG247 believes that Bungie will take that opportunity for the "Destiny 2."

The studio is expected to follow up this purported major reveal with a demo of "Destiny 2" at the PlayStation Experience for a good week's work.

Of course, fans are advised to take this with a grain of salt as there is no official word from Bungie about their release plans for "Destiny 2."

However, with the two of the biggest events in the video game industry set to take place soon — in the same week no less — it is hoped that Bungie will use it as an opportunity to reveal new details on "Destiny 2."

The sequel is rumored to be released for the PC, in addition to the Xbox One and PlayStation 4. It is also being said that Bungie will start from scratch in building it, which means will feature new characters and locations.

"Destiny 2" is slated for release in fall 2017.
