In a few more days, Bungie will unveil new information on the upcoming online-only multiplayer first-person shooter video game "Destiny 2."

"Destiny 2" now open for pre-order Planet Destiny

On the official website of the game, Bungie is counting down to the big reveal, which is slated to happen this Thursday, May 18. Gamers should stay tuned as Bungie is expected to disclose the components of "Destiny 2" as well as its gameplay on a livestream event on the said day.

In the next installment of the series, gamers will be taken a world overrun by the Red Legion. When commander Ghaul and his forces take over the last safe city, players will be given the task of defeating the Red Legion and their leader. In order to do so, players must venture into unexplored lands to hone their skills and find the right weapons.

Players can choose between the hunter, the titan, and the warlock. The characters called The Guardians each have their own strengths when it comes to battle. The Hunter is a skilled warrior, good with guns, as well as knives. The Titan's brute strength is its best weapon, while the warlock's is its brilliant mind.

"Destiny 2" is currently available for pre orders. Gamers who do so will be given Early Beta Access. As of now, Bungie has not revealed the schedule for their first full Beta test.

Bungie is offering "Destiny 2" limited edition packs for $100. It contains the "Destiny 2" base game and a SteelBook Case. Gamers will also be granted access to both upcoming expansion packs, the legendary sword, the legendary player emote, and cabal empire-themed emblem. Furthermore, gamers can expect a cabal-themed collector's box containing many collectibles.

The gameplay premiere livestream event will take place on Thursday, May 18, at 1 p.m. EDT.

"Destiny 2" will debut on Sept. 8 on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 consoles and on PCs.
