'Destiny' update not expected until after February

 Bungie

"Destiny" players waiting for the game's next big content drop may have to wait for a few months.

According to Bungie, a major update for the game is expected to arrive sometime after February.

Bungie reassured players anxiously waiting for new content by indicating that there are still plenty of stories that have yet to be told inside the game.

Unfortunately, the game's developer did not reveal any further specifics regarding the upcoming update, thus leading players to think up a variety of different possibilities.

According to Game Rant, it's possible that the next big update coming to "Destiny" will add more detail to the game's story.

The upcoming update could also focus on other aspects of the game, and it may even be adding a big bundle of new weapons and items to "Destiny."

The only thing sure for now is that the significant content drop is not arriving next month, so players will have no other choice than to wait things out.

While "Destiny" players eagerly wait for details regarding the next major update, they can still try out the new content that will arrive via the upcoming "Crimson Days" event.

"Crimson Days" is "Destiny's" very own take on Valentine's Day.

Upon the start of the new event, players will be able to see the world inside "Destiny" decked out in red as Guardians from all over bask in the lovely atmosphere.

Aside from the new decorations, "Crimson Days" is also set to add a new Crucible mode option known in Crimson Doubles.

In Crimson Doubles, players will be asked to pair up with another Guardian as they take on different challenges.

According to Forbes, "Crimson Days" could also be adding new Valentine's Day-themed emotes to "Destiny."

Bungie has yet to announce everything that will be included in "Crimson Days," although the developer is expected to reveal more details about it this week.

More news about "Destiny" should be made available later on in the week.
