Bandai Namco Entertainment will open the incoming year with a bang. The game publisher will release their newest fighting video game "Dragon Ball FighterZ" on Jan. 26, 2018.

The game will include all the characters from the animated series "Dragon Ball," including Goku, Vegeta, Piccolo, Android 16, Android 18, and more.

Many experts and fans believe that the popularity of the media franchise will help promote the upcoming video game. There are predictions from gamers that "Dragon Ball FighterZ" has the potential to be one of the best fighting games to be released in 2018.

"Dragon Ball FighterZ" will be developed by video game company, Arc System Works. This gaming publisher also developed previous "Dragon Ball" game installments and the "Guilty Gear" video game series.

Instead of the usual one versus one combat, the game will allow six players to engage in a three versus three match.

Banda Namco released a trailer during the first day of Gamescom 2017 on Aug. 22. The promotional video revealed the story mode of the game with an army of Gokus, Vegetas, and Piccolos marching along a destroyed city. Most of the signature attacks of distinct characters will appear in the game, including Super Saiyan Blue for Goku and Vegeta.

Fans are wondering if villains from "Dragon Ball" animated series and movies like Beerus and Golden Frieza will be included as playable characters in the game.

The video game will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam. Bandai Namco offers several preorder packages. The standard edition includes two early unlockable players, Super Saiyan Blue Goku and Super Saiyan Blue Vegeta. It will also provide two exclusive lobby avatars. Buyers can also choose the CollectorZ package that contains a copy of the game, a Goku statue, three art boards, and an exclusive steelbook.

Apart from "Dragon Ball FighterZ," Bandai Namco is also looking forward to release "Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet" in February.
