'Dragon Ball Super' episode 45 spoilers, air date: Vegeta clone on Planet Potofu causes trouble

 Toei Animation

"Dragon Ball Super" episode 45 will see Vegeta traveling all the way to Planet Potofu in order to rescue Goten and Trunks, both of whom were accidentally brought to the planet by Monaka. However, as stated in a report from GameNGuide, they will need to deal with a Vegeta duplicate as the real Vegeta loses his powers.

It is stated in the promo trailer that the "Superhuman Water" of the planet may be responsible for creating the duplicate and for robbing Vegeta's powers. Fans speculate that as Vegeta vanishes and weakens the duplicate will become more real and more powerful.

Given that Vegeta cannot fight the duplicate, Monaka and Jaco will need to save Goten, Trunks and the rest of the planet for the clone. However, the series has revealed that Monaka is not a real fighter and Jaco, despite being a space police officer, is not as powerful as any of the Saiyans like Goku and Vegeta.

The promo trailer does reveal that while the heroes wait for Goku to arrive and fight the clone, Goten and Trunks will do their best to keep it down. Not only will they be fighting as a team but the trailer showcases they will once again use their signature Fusion technique to become the more powerful being known as Gotenks.

It is also revealed in the trailer that Gotenks will go up to his full potential and power up to Super Saiyan 3 in order to defeat the Vegeta duplicate. However, given that the real Vegeta managed to reach Super Saiyan Blue aka Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan levels, it is likely that the duplicate will be too powerful for the two kids to defeat.

Despite this, the trailer indicates that Goku may arrive just in time to save the day.

"Dragon Ball Super" episode 45 will air this May 29.
