Last time on "Dragon Ball Super," Goku merged with Vegeta in order to defeat Zamasu, who fused with Goku Black in an earlier episode. Before they merged, Goku was able to wound Zamasu, and Gowasu said that the villain left Goku Black inside his body, and locking him in caused his immortality to fade. Goku told Vegeta that they should take a cue from the villain and merge to match their enemy's powers, and Vegeta agreed to do so.

Bulma was able to fix the time machine and arrived at the scene of the battle with Mai, Haru, and Maki in tow. Maki handed a Ki-blade to Trunks, who sped off to join the fight.

Zamasu's body transformed and his new body was bigger, though it made him slower. Fused Goku and Vegeta fired a Final Kamehameha before the fusion wore off. When Zamasu saw that the two were in their individual forms, he charged to kill them, but Trunks appeared and blocked off his attack. Though Zamasu taunted him for being weak, Trunks channeled the Ki from all his allies, including Goku and Vegeta, and he managed to cut Zamasu in half.

In the next chapter titled "Fill Your Heart with New Hope!! Farewell, Trunks," it appears that Zamasu hasn't been fully defeated even though he loses his physical form. His essence spreads out and completely covers the sky, and Goku, Vegeta, Trunks, and the rest of the gang will have to come up with something to defeat the villain once and for all. Goku has one secret weapon left to end Zamasu, and it remains to be seen whether he will be truly eliminated from the world.

Meanwhile, spoilers about upcoming chapters have started leaking online, and according to Yibada, chapter 68 will be titled "Come Here, Shenron! Whose Dream Will Come True?" It was speculated that in this chapter airing Nov. 27, Shenron will be summoned. Chapter 69 is reportedly titled "Goku vs. Arale! The Earth Comes to an End Due to Their Battle" and will air on Dec. 4.

"Dragon Ball Super" airs Sundays at 9 a.m. JST on Fuji TV.
