As it is getting closer to the game's launch date, publisher Bandai Namco has published new gameplay videos showcasing some of the iconic franchise characters for "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2."

The new videos showcase main character Goku, as well as his granddaughter Pan, duking it out with a player-controlled Time Patroller. The gameplay videos highlight some of the improvements in the sequel, particularly with the game's mechanics and graphic design.

Aside from the new gameplay videos, Bandai Namco also released new trailer teasers for some of the missions in the upcoming game. One footage, dubbed as "Depths of Despair," is an Expert mission in "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2." The mission pits the player and 5 other Z warriors against the giant ape form of Vegeta, one of the strongest fighting forms for the Saiyan race. This confirms that aside from the franchise story lines taken from the first game, "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" is expected to extend its story to the newer events in the franchise, including the "Dragon Ball Kai" and "Dragon Ball Super" installments.

Meanwhile, Vegeta himself is also showcased in a new gameplay footage dubbed as "The Prince of Destruction." In the video, Vegeta is in his Majin form, taken from the "Majin Boo" saga in the main storyline.

The new videos are part of Bandai Namco building up the hype until the release of the sequel later this month. "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" will be released on Oct. 25 in North America and Oct. 28 in Europe for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. In addition to the new gameplay videos, Bandai Namco has also commenced a closed beta for those who pre-ordered on the PlayStation 4. Some observers like Attack of the Fanboy already have their first impressions of the game based on the beta. Meanwhile, a follow-up open beta is also scheduled for the game, going live from Oct. 14 to 17.

More recently, I’ve enjoyed Christian movies Unsung Hero and Jesus Revolution on limited release in the UK, but it’s rare for such films to make the multiplex chains.
