Duggar family news: Jill Duggar veers away from family dress code, opts to wear pants

The Duggar family from "Counting On" adhere to strict fashion rules. The ladies are not allowed to wear pants or tight-fitting clothes that show off their cleavage, and their dress and skirt lengths should always fall below the knee.

However, since some of the Duggar girls have gotten married, they have began expressing their individuality and veered a bit away from their mom, Michelle Duggar's fashion do's and don'ts. One such example is Jill Duggar, who has now gotten a nose ring and even had fun with a Henna tattoo.

Just recently, she started wearing pants as well. When her husband, Derick Dillard, posted a photo of Jill giving a lecture on Instagram (@derickdillard), fans zeroed in on her wardrobe choice. "My beautiful wife speaking to a group of young ladies at a school today about God-centered relationships! So proud of her!" Dillard captioned the photo.

Most of the comments about the pants were positive. "First thing I noticed was the pants! Love it!" an enthusiastic fan wrote. "Wow she's wearing pants! That's the first thing I noticed. Good for her!" another added.

Others shared a nonchalant response. "Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yes, Jill Duggar Dillard is seen wearing pants. Yes, many of us who follow the Duggar Family know that the females strictly wear skirts and dresses. Yes, I'm happy to see Jill in pants, but who cares? She can wear whatever she wants," a netizen commented.

Another Duggar girl who started wearing pants after getting married is Jinger Vuolo, and fans were quick to compare the sisters. "Jinger looks so cute and tiny in pants. Pants don't suit Jill at all," a fan wrote. "Derick saw what pants did for Jinger's image and is having Jill try it. Not that pants can save this family's image. It's been tainted for far too long," another added.

The Dillards have faced criticism because of their fundraising efforts for their family ministry in Central America, and Derick recently came under fire for controversial comments about another TLC reality star, Jazz Jennings, for being transgender.
