2014 Black Friday discounts for Kindle Fire, Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 NOOK, Kobo Aura and more

Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 Nook Barnes & Noble

A survey conducted by PlayCollective and Digital Book World revealed that eReaders and eBooks will be some of the hottest items this Black Friday and for the rest of the gift giving season.

According to the survey's results, 45% of parents with children between the ages of 2 and 13 are planning to get their kids a new device to read books. Even those parents who already own an eReader are planning to buy a newer device for their kids.

Below are the Black Friday deals for top eReaders from Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and Kobo.

Amazon Kindle

Amazon offers great discounts on its Kindle devices. Starting Nov. 27 to Nov. 29, the online retailer giant offers the 2014 Kindle e-book reader for $49, which is $30 less than the original price of Amazon's cheapest eReader. However, add $30 and get six months' worth of subscription on e-book service, Kindle Unlimited. The retailer also offers the Kindle Paperwhite for $99. Add $30 and get six-month subscription in Kindle Unlimited.

The Kindle Fire HD is the successor of Kindle Fire but with improved screen display. The Fire HD 6 now costs $79 from Nov. 27 to Nov. 29. Its successor, 7-inch Fire HD 7, is available for $109 from Thanksgiving Day until Cyber Monday.

Kobo

Kobo is offering a sweet deal to buyers. Kobo Aura HD costs $99.99, nut those who will buy the eReader on Nov. 28 to Dec. 1 and reported by the deadlines indicated in the Kobo Reporting Tool, Kobo will pay$38 to retailers. If you will not be able to catch the deal on Black Friday and Cyber Monday, the promo will run again on Dec. 9 to Dec. 31 as a part of the company's holiday offerings.

Barnes & Noble

Barnes & Noble tries to attract more consumers offering big price cut on its eReaders. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 NOOK 7, which is originally priced at $199.99, is now available for $129.99 with $200 worth of free content. However, this deal is only good for Black Friday and in limited quantities.

Meanwhile, B&N also offers the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 NOOK 10.1 for $249.99 with $200 of free content as buyers get instant rebate of $100. B&N members save additional 10% and free shipping. Lastly, the retailer offers the NOOK GlowLight for $99 with members can save an additional 10%.
