PC upgrade is a common thing nowadays especially in the video card section. Many would always prefer a powerful graphics card to have better video quality. However, aside from the cost, the size of the GPU is a big factor in choosing one. Many PC owners have a stock case or a smaller case, and many powerful GPUs come in mammoth sizes, not to mention that these have their own power requirements. This is where the EVGA GTX GPU comes in, small package and does not need additional power connection.

EVGA Corporation recently released their own version of GeForce GTX 950 GPU that can give maximum performance without having to worry about the power requirements of a new video card. The GTX 950 has several models and there are specific models that do not need a 6-pin power connector. This means users who are planning to upgrade just the video card can do just that.

The EVGA GTX 950 carries in its blood the GeForce GTX DNA. It is powered by the NVIDIA Maxwell architecture, considered to be the best GPU architecture available in the market. It contains 768 CUDA Cores -- the base clock for the highest variants give 1,127 MHz with a boosted clock of 1,317 MHz, while the lower variants offer 1,025 MHz base and 1,190 MHz boosted. It is also PCI-E 3.0- and 2-way SLI-ready.

Additionally, it contains 2048MB GDDR5 VRAM, 128-bit width, and a memory bandwidth of 105.76GB/s. It is also Direct X 12 compliant.

With regard to the display ports, several variants have HDMI and DVI-I, while other variants have an additional DVI-D port.

Gaming and movie aficionados will truly appreciate this latest hardware release, so they should check out EVGA's GeForce GTX 950 when the time comes to upgrade. Price is around US$150 for the highest variant.
