'Fallout 4' news: 3rd DLC far bigger in scale than Oblivion

Fallout 4: Far Harbor DLC Game Art Bethesda

The first DLC for "Fallout 4," "Automatron," was released just last week. "Wasteland" is the second one and will be released in April, while the third, "Far Harbor," is set for the month of May, more than a month away. Fans who are wondering how big the third DLC is in terms of its scale need not worry -- a fan has already asked the question.

Out of the blue, a fan named @SirCabbage asked Pete Hines, vice president of PR and marketing of Bethesda, on Twitter, "On a scale of Pitt to Shimmering Isles how big will Far Harbor be? You said biggest, but the isles were just... so awesome."

Hines reply was, "it's bigger in size than Shivering Isles."

Gamerant reported that the third DLC for "Fallout 4" will contain the biggest landmass Bethesda, the game publisher and developer, has ever created. The "Oblivion Shivering Isle" is an expansion pack for another widely successful Bethesda game, "The Elder Scrolls," which has provided gamers more than 30 hours of gameplay.

The report also stated that "Fallout 4" fans will definitely enjoy the third expansion pack when it rolls out. The company has been providing good quality games and it seems that they are not stopping trying to give more.

The "Far Harbor" DLC is about a quest to find a young woman, which leads to a mysterious island where a colony of synths is thriving. Players are set to encounter a three-way war between the locals, the synths, and the Children of Atom.

Before the third DLC arrives, Bethesda is also cooking up a new game mode called "Survival mode" and will be releasing a beta version via Steam anytime soon. Bethesda stated that the upcoming game mode will "radically change the way you play." Hunger, thirst, and disease will be the factors that players will be considering during game time. To make it more exciting, if those were not enough, no autosaves will be available.

"Fallout 4's" "Far Harbor" DLC will be available for download come the month of April for US$25. It is also the most expensive of the three expansion packs.
