Developer Bethesda will be reintroducing Survival Mode to "Fallout 4," but before doing so, a beta test is being performed for the mode that started more than a week ago. Now, for the further enjoyment of its players, a new feature and several fixes were rolled out.
Players will now be able to monitor their physical attributes – thirst, hunger, sleep and disease, based on the colors of these icons. This feature will let players know which are critically low and which status is still fine.
The game patch 1.5.146 also brings fixes to the game mechanics. Players will now be able to survive with less food and drink. Players do not need the same amount of solid and liquid intake to have proper health. The sleep cycle has been adjusted from 24 hours to 14 hours per day. Carrying load capacity was lessened, and to make things a little more exciting, there is a bigger chance for a player to get infected with a disease.
Additionally, the weight of the fusion cores will be heavier, caffeine effect from Nuke Cola and Nuke Cola Cherry will not be affected by Nuke Cola Quantums, and the issue of a character becoming parched or peckish after satisfying thirst and hunger has been fixed. Also, incorrect Adrenaline effect after changing the level of difficulty and the issue concerning the showing up of a quest target on a companion when it is down were also remedied.
In other news, the second DLC for "Fallout 4," "Wasteland Workshop," will be arriving on April 12. It contains game packs for settlement customization after building a companion with "Automatron" DLC. Also for additional entertainment, players will also be able to capture and tame creatures, from raiders to Deathclaws. One can also have them face off in a makeshift arena or against other settlers.
A third DLC, "Far Harbor," is then scheduled for a May release. Bethesda has not announced an exact date yet.
While waiting for the DLC packs to be available, fans can spend their free time with "Fallout 4" Survival Mode beta, which is available for download from Steam.
