'Fallout 4' PS4 mods release date: What's keeping Pete Hines from positively answering gamers?

Xbox One gamers were as happy as larks when the Fallout 4 mods were released on their platform last May. However, the release of the "Fallout 4" mods for PS4 is facing an unexpected delay. As Gospel Herald recalls, gaming company Bethesda initially set the release date for June this year. But August is here and there's still no positive news from the video game developer.

Naturally, this has led to a lot of disappointments, theories, and questions from fans. Gaming Bolt reports that the vice president of Public Relations and Marketing at Bethesda, Pete Hines, attempted to answer queries from fans on Twitter. When asked about the reason behind the delay in launching "Fallout 4" mods for PS4, the vice president didn't share any specifics owing to restrictions in company policy.

A user asked Hines, "Can you please give is some info for the fallout 4 mods ps4 even if it compromises your position," to which Hines replied, "Sorry, but I'm not going to do that. Nor risk further delays than we've already had by saying something. When I have info, I'll share."

Another gamer pointed out that keeping players in the dark would only hurt the company's credibility. In response, Hines tweeted that he didn't disagree, and that the company explained that to the "others," so that they could get or share an update. He added, "So far, it hasn't worked."

This tweet sparked off guessing games about who the "others" could possibly be. Vine Report gives out further tweets in that thread, wherein the gamer asked if "others" could perhaps refer to console creator Sony. Hines continued to remain tight-lipped, saying only, "I'm not going to get into specifics. If I was able to have an open dialog and explain what's up I would have long ago."

Well, with all doors closed, fans will have to wait for an official confirmation regarding the delayed release.
