Bethesda has finally added mods support for the PlayStation 4 version of "Fallout 4." Supposedly, the next update will also add improvements for the PS4 Pro version of the game.
In a tweet on the official Bethesda account, the developer has promised gamers that the next update will add support for the PS4 Pro version of "Fallout 4." However, aside from the confirmation, no other details have been revealed by the developer.

It is likely, though, that the same support and improvements from the recent PlayStation 4 update will also make it to the PS4 Pro version of the game, including the mods feature for "Fallout 4." In the new update 1.8 for the PS4, the patch notes indicate that other fixes and improvements have been included for both the Sony console and the Xbox One. However, the major improvement is the mods support being unlocked for the PS4.
The feature has been a long-awaited option for "Fallout 4" players on the current-gen Sony console. The mods support has already been live on the Xbox One and PC for some time now, but disagreements between Bethesda and Sony have delayed the feature becoming live for the Sony console. However, Sony finally relented, and allowed the support to be included for the PS4.
However, it should be noted that while the feature is already added, mods support for the PS4 is somewhat limited. The Sony console only allows up to 1 GB of outside data, which means only limited modding can be done compared with the Xbox One and PC versions of the game. In addition, Sony and Bethesda have agreed that modding can only be done using in-game internal assets, so not much can be customized by modders.
Meanwhile, although the PS4 Pro is more powerful than the base console model, it is yet to be confirmed if the same constraints will apply.
