"Far Cry Primal" is set to feature a prehistoric setting just begging to be explored, and now, fans can find out more about what that world will be like.

First off, players can learn more about the game's unique language.

In an interview with Digital Trends, some of the game's developers shared more information about how the language was eventually formed.

According to producer Vincent Pontbriand, anthropologists, historians, and linguists were brought on to help shed more light on what kind of language would be appropriate for the chosen setting.

Thanks in part to all that information, the developers were eventually able to formulate a new kind of language that stems mainly from Proto-Indo-European roots.

It's worth noting that "Far Cry Primal" also features more than one kind of language, so players should not be surprised when they begin to find different characters using unfamiliar words.

It's not just the language that is unfamiliar in the new "Far Cry" title, as the prehistoric setting is also something new for the franchise.

The new setting is not just for show either, as it figures prominently into the game's mechanics.

In an interview with the PlayStation Blog, creative director Jean-Christophe Guyot indicated that one of the ways in which the new game differs from its predecessors is in how prominently animals are featured.

According to Guyot, players will have to deal with animals on a regular basis inside the game, whether it's through taming them and eventually being able to command them as allies or through hunting them down for food and other resources.

Players will also be tasked with using an entirely new collection of weapons and tools in order to survive the game's rugged environment.

Players interested in finding out more about the prehistoric setting of "Far Cry Primal" can now get the newly launched open world game.
