"Fast and Furious 8" may not be close to launching in theaters just yet, but it seems like publicity is at its peak without consciously intending to do so. This is all thanks to the Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson–Vin Diesel feud that has been the hot topic of social media, and it is not showing any signs of slowing down.
According to ET Online, The Rock was irritated with the way some of the cast members were behaving, and recently it has been confirmed that the Instagram rant was directed to Vin Diesel. Reports have mentioned that Diesel has been arriving late for shoots, infuriating Johnson and causing them to butt heads over issues of professionalism.
It appears The Rock doesn't regret ranting about his anger over his co-star. In an interview with the Los Angeles Times, he said: "I was very clear with what I said. I've been in the game a long time. Would Universal [Pictures] have preferred that didn't happen? Sure, we talked about it. The irony is after that and as they do their tracking and all their analysis, the interest shot through the roof to a whole other level."
There has been a lot of reports regarding the friction between the two. Johnson also added that if the audience finds a scene in the movie where his anger is so realistic and authentic, it most probably is.
In other related news, the cast of "Fast and Furious 8" have been raising a lot of interest from avid fans. This is both from the relationship between the actors and who is playing who, like the case of Scott Eastwood.
According to Game N' Guide, there were rumors making rounds on the internet about Vin Diesel duking it out with Paul Walker. Some say it may be possible through effects, while others can't shake the feeling that the resemblance between Eastwood and Walker may point to the possibility of the former assuming the role.
Everyone has been mum about what fans can expect, but this will prove to be a surprise to loyal fans of the movie franchise.
"Fast and Furious 8" will hit the theaters on April 14, 2017.
