'Final Fantasy 15' updates: Hajime Tabata talks DLC releases for game, PC version, frame rate and resolution

Hajime Tabata details the frame rate and resolution of "Final Fantasy 15." Square Enix

There are still a lot of "Final Fantasy 15" talks going on even after the massive "Uncovered" event, which already revealed so much about the most-awaited game.

In an interview with Dengeki Online (translated by DualShockers), "Final Fantasy 15" director Hajime Tabata shared details about the console versions and a possible PC version of the game.

Tabata said that a PC release for "Final Fantasy 15" is still up in the air. If there will be one, the director said it will be way off from the release of the game's PS4 and Xbox One versions. Speaking of which, Tabata clarified that the "Final Fantasy 15" Platinum Demo released for the consoles have the same specs in order for the two versions to be as indistinguishable as they can be.

In the said demo, Square Enix used a dynamic resolution with 1080p as the upper limit. This is not an indication of the final game's frame rate but simply a decision by the developer for players to effectively dip their toes on the "Final Fantasy 15" world and nothing more.

As for the Platinum Demo, there are no plans for an update for it yet, but Square Enix is committed to having players try "Final Fantasy 15" as much as possible before it releases later this year so they might end up doing one anyway.

Production is ongoing for "Final Fantasy 15," and as Square Enix progresses, Tabata assured that the game's performance and frame rate will pick up as well.

Tabata's crew is working hard to optimize "Final Fantasy 15" for the Xbox One and PS4 versions, but it remains unclear if the final form of the title will require a change in specs.

Tabata also suggested that DLCs will be released for "Final Fantasy 15" in order for gamers to prolong their adventures with Noctis and the gang.

"Final Fantasy 15" will officially be available on Sept. 30.
