Floyd Mayweather walked to the ring for tonight's big fight against Canelo Alvarez, flanked by Lil Wayne and Justin Bieber. Lil Wayne rapped into the microphone next to him as Mayweather chewed his gum and walked to the ring with Bieber on his other side.

Mayweather, 36, will be taking on Alvarez, who is just 23 years old, from Las Vegas.

The crowd went crazy as Alvarez walked into the ring, wearing his national colors, red, green and white of Mexico. The national anthems of Mexico and USA were sung before the fight began.

Mayweather is set to make $41 million tonight whether he wins or loses the fight.

made his way through his career taking down everyone in his path. He is considered by many to be the best pound for pound boxer in the world, and he will be the favorite to gain the victory tonight.

However, for once his opponent has captured the imagination of the world boxing public, and also comes into this fight undefeated.

In an era of boxing where very few fights are capturing the imagination of the boxing public – especially at the heavyweight and middleweight levels – this fight has surprised some with the amount of attention and the excitement surrounding it. Some truly feel as though Alvarez could be the man to seriously challenge Mayweather. Even if he does not, many are expecting there to be fireworks in the fight, and not be another lame match up where Mayweather entirely overwhelms his opponent and claims another very standard win to add to his large collection.
