Floyd Mayweather next fight rumors, latest news: 'Money' is already financially settled

Despite floating rumors that Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao will eventually have a rematch at some point, the undefeated American boxer once again reiterated that he has no reason to return to the ring since he is already financially well off.

Mayweather struck it big in May of last year when he and Pacquiao faced off. While that record-setting payday may stand up there for quite some time, Mayweather could haul in another big payday with a sequel.

But seeing the disappointment of the match, the revenue is not expected to be as enormous, although expected to get a fair chunk of the estimated $700 million earnings.

Either way, Mayweather has opted to stand firm on his focus right now on developing young fighters under his Mayweather Promotions banner rather than take the ring himself. To cut it short, Mayweather is content doing such and sees no need to come out of retirement for another match.

Mayweather was able to equal the 49–0 record of boxing great Rocky Marciano last September when he handily defeated Andre Berto. The 38-year-old fighter could easily break that record if he chose to.

Right now, with Mayweather content with his earnings and life, it may take something unusual to probably tempt him into coming out of retirement or at least even ponder on one.

Despite being out of the ring, Mayweather has other means of raking in revenue. He has endorsement deals and, of course, has his promotional arm to generate income.

Mayweather has also been making appearances where he could generate some additional money on the side. That includes an upcoming visit to the United Kingdom where Mayweather is charging fans up to £2,000 just to meet up with him. Packages go up depending on the add-ons in the package fans would choose.

Now, however, a recent report from Fox Sports claims that Mayweather has not totally ruled out a return. The only question is when that could happen.
