Erica Mena and Bow Wow wedding details still kept mum

After announcing their engagement last September, fans are now waiting to hear when former "Love & Hip Hop: New York" star Erica Mena and rapper-actor Shad "Bow Wow" Moss will finally tie the knot. Speculations about their wedding have been going around for some time, but Mena and Moss have always shot them down, claiming none of those rumors are true.

Earlier, rumors began to spread about the couple's plans to get married in Australia, but Moss denied the claims, saying that his Australian trip was purely for work and club appearances.

The "CSI: Cyber" star also told PEOPLE that they are the type of couple who loves spontaneity. During the Pacquiao-Mayweather boxing match last month, Moss said that they could choose to get married right after the fight if they feel that the time is right.

Mena, on the other hand, told her Twitter followers that she has no intention of causing too much fuss during their wedding.

When a fan requested for a televised coverage of their big day, Mena said: "I don't want my wedding to be a joke. Weddings are a serious deal. You only get one!!"

Her statement caused a rift between her and her former "LHHNY" co-star Yandy Smith, who chose to air her extravagant wedding with long-time beau Mendeecees Harris live via VH1 during Memorial Day. The two had been feuding since then.

It seems like both Moss and Mena want to take their marriage seriously. A blogsite dedicated to the rapper-actor posted an excerpt of his previous interview with The Real, where Moss said that marriage should not be taken lightly.

"Anything that I do is real. Especially marriage and things like that. For me, it's funny. It's a form of entertainment. It's funny to watch people online thinking that they really know your business. And they be so far left with the information. So we just get a kick out of it. Plus I'm built Ford tough so," the 28-year-old rapper stated.

Moss also claimed that he has become more respectful toward women because of his four-year-old daughter Shai.

The couple only dated for six months before Moss proposed to Mena, and the two were inseparable since.

However, the couple is currently in the hot seat after Moss commented on an Instagram post of his fiancée, claiming that he was the one who "created" Mena. When a fan asked for clarification on Moss' statement, the rapper said that he is the one responsible for the changes in her hair, the way she dresses, and her overall branding. He also said that he saw something in her that no one saw before. But not everyone liked his statement, saying that he should not take credit for Mena's positive changes, and women are not "dolls" that he can "improve."

Moss has yet to respond to the fans' reactions regarding his statement.

Fear, denial and control: Why the Cuban government prohibits the most natural responses to the country’s dire humanitarian needs

It may be hard to fathom how such pettiness plays into the government’s wider crackdown on FoRB and other fundamental human rights, or how on earth it could justify extending its repression to children, but ultimately it all comes down to fear.
