'Framed Collection' Nintendo Switch release date: Puzzle franchise to drop on Switch sometime this spring

It seems like Nintendo Switch players are in for a much diverse gaming selection this 2018 as the acclaimed noir-puzzle franchise "Framed" is coming to their beloved consoles this spring.

According to the announcement, the game's original installment, "Framed," and its sequel, "Framed 2," will come packaged in a bundle offering called "Framed Collection."

Loveshack Entertainment, the games' developer, confirmed the compilation earlier this week and set the release date sometime this spring.

Alongside the confirmation, the Australian-based studio released a short teaser of what is coming to Switch owners.

Initially, the narrative-puzzler title was released way back in 2014 as a mobile platformer. The game requires players to rearrange panels of an animated comic book in order to successfully alter the events in-game and change it to a more favorable outcome.

Since its debut, the game has received critical praise for its unique narrative-gameplay style, earning the thumbs up of "Metal Gear Solid" creator Hideo Kojima, wherein he named the game as his 2014 Game of the Year.

Due to its unprecedented popularity, the game produced a prequel in the form of "Framed 2" released just last year. The new title took what players liked in the first game and added more exciting mechanics and puzzles to it, which, similarly, was a hit among new and old fans of the franchise.

Currently, the game is only available on mobile platforms Android and iOS -- the Switch port is the first-ever console conversion for the comic- puzzler.

In other news, the "Framed Collection" is also up for a release on the PC platformer, but a port on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 has not been revealed as of present time.
