Franklin Graham questions Obama nuke deal with Iran, a country with terror ties

Reverend Franklin Graham is once again disagreeing with US President Barack Obama's thoughts and actions. This time, it has something to do with the Obama administration's just concluded nuclear deal with Iran.

"President Barack Obama is heralding his nuclear deal with Iran as 'another chapter in the pursuit of a more helpful and more hopeful world.' I don't think so," Graham wrote on his Facebook page. "Iran has a history of funding terrorism around the world, and they are Israel's worst enemy. We are alienating our decades-long allies and cozying up to their enemies and ours."

In fact, Graham finds the opinion of presidential hopeful Donald Trump even more substantial because the business magnate at least expressed concern over the four American prisoners still languishing in Iran. "We have four prisoners over there. We should have said 'Let the prisoners out,'" said Trump.

Obama failed to include the release of the imprisoned US citizens in his deal with Iran, Graham said. One of these prisoners is Pastor Saeed Abedini, who committed no crime save for sharing his Christian faith.

"Some are calling this deal a potential death sentence for the State of Israel. Pray for our Congress that God would give them wisdom as they debate this important agreement. There's a lot at stake here," Graham said.

Abedini's wife Naghmeh, on the other hand, was disappointed that her husband was not released as part of the nuke deal but said that it actually "makes sense."

"It's something they have been upfront with me and the other families from the beginning, that he would not be part of the deal. They have said that. Every call I've had with State Department and the White House has been that," Naghmeh said in an interview with CNN.
