American evangelist Franklin Graham and his family celebrated Thanksgiving Day on Thursday, Nov. 26, and they did it  with hearts full of love and deep reverence towards God.

On his Facebook page, Graham shared a photo taken with his family enjoying their Thanksgiving meal and he writes, "I was 22 years old when I gave my life to Christ. I told God that I was sorry for my sins and that if He would take the pieces of my life and somehow put them back together, I was His."

Graham has come a long way since he gave up his life for God, and he feels extremely blessed that he got to go through his journey in life with his family by his side.

"Today, I am thankful for my family — my wife Jane, our four children and their spouses, our 10 grandchildren, and that at 97 years of age, my father Billy Graham is still with us. But most of all, I thank God for the salvation that He has given me through His Son Jesus Christ and the opportunity to share the message of His love with others," he says.

Graham, who is 63 years old, is particularly thankful to have God-fearing parents Billy and Ruth Bell Graham, who moulded him and his siblings to become stewards of God as well. "They taught me about Jesus Christ and the value of God's Word," he says.

Graham then shared the Bible verse 1 Thessalonians 5:18. It says, "In everything give thanks."

Just a few days before Thanksgiving, Graham wrote that there might be a lot of bad things happening in the world right now, what with downed planes and terrorist threats, but despite all these he remains thankful that God's love never changes even when circumstances in the world do.

"The Bible tells us that NOTHING can separate us from the love of God," he says. "God reassures us in His Word, 'Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken...' (Isaiah 54:10)."
