The Huangs have been given officially more time to pursue the American dream. ABC has announced that "Fresh off the Boat" has been renewed for a fourth season.

"Fresh off the Boat," which is set in the 90s, follows a Taiwanese family who moved from Chinatown, Washington, D.C., to Orlando, Florida, where they open a steak restaurant. The show features their adjustments from living in a predominantly Asian population to a suburban community in Florida.

The lead character is 12-year-old Eddie Huang (Hudson Yang), a 12 -year-old boy who loves hip-hop, rap, and basketball. He is based on the real-life Eddie Huang, who wrote the memoir on which the show is based. Huang is also the narrator in the first season. Other cast members are Randall Park, Constance Wu, Ian Chen, Lucille Soong, Forrest Wheeler, and Chelsey Crisp.

Aside from "Fresh off the Boat" and "Speechless," ABC has also renewed its other sitcoms: "Modern Family," "The Middle," "Speechless," "The Goldbergs," and "Black-ish." These shows are lucky, as the network has canceled a number of shows, including "Dr. Ken," "Imaginary Mary," "The Catch," "Last Man Standing," "American Crime," "The Real O'Neals," "Time after Time," Conviction," "Notorious," and "Secrets and Lies."

The third season finale of "Fresh off the Boat" aired on May 16, Tuesday, at 9 p.m. The episode was the second half of the two-part season finale, which featured the Huang family moving into a posh neighborhood so that Evan (Chen) can get into a private school and Louis (Park) can partner with Michael Bolton so that they can make enough money to buy the house. It seems, however, that the singer will become very enthusiastic about the prospect of being part of a business, which can lead to him railroading Louis in the process.

No date has been announced yet on when its fourth season will premiere. However, ABC is expected to reveal its fall schedule within this week.
