The "Games of Thrones" series is one of the most awaited series, so many have been waiting for news as to the release date of the final season. While there has not been much news for season 8, actress Maisie Williams, who plays Arya Stark, recently shared an apparent release window for it. As it does comes from Arya herself, it is quite easy to believe.

Williams recently had an interview with Metro where she shared her thoughts for the final season. "We wrap [filming] in December and we air our first episode in April [2019]," said Williams. "That's a four-month turnaround for these huge episodes. There's a lot that goes into the final edit."

Although the news came from one of the main characters, there is still that sense of doubt for its authenticity. It is not likely either that HBO will be releasing an early announcement for it either, so fans should at least take Williams' words with a grain of salt. Nevertheless, the time frame she mentioned does not seem too far-fetched anyway.

As for how the final season for "Game of Thrones" will end, she does mentions some of her own thoughts for her own character. "I've always said I wanted her to find peace," said Williams. "The things that have been driving her through her story have been very bitter and twisted and aggressive." Needless to say, just like many of the characters, she just basically wants Arya to end happy.

She does not much into detail about how the season will go, but she does give an advice for her fans and the show's viewers in general. "You would not want to rush this season at all," warns Williams. At least, fans know that a lot of thought is being given to this final season.

As for now, nothing is official. 2018 has just started and so has their filming. A lot of things may happen until then, but hopefully, it is not as drastic as getting the show cancelled for whatever reason.
