"Gears of War 4: Ultimate Edition" should have been delivered by Amazon already to those who have preordered, but this does not seem to be the case. Numerous customers, who have put in pre-orders months ahead, are upset with the situation. They were supposed to be guaranteed to have early access.

"Gears of War" fans are sharing information, mostly frustrations, on a Reddit thread, about the release date blunder by Amazon. A few have confirmed that they have received theirs, but many have not gotten their copies yet. Several fans are also saying that their orders will not arrive until Wednesday. The game will officially be released by Oct. 11, Tuesday. Several game fans have already canceled their orders and went to Best Buy to purchase their copies of the game.

Amazon has not given any official statement regarding the issue, but a Microsoft representative sent a statement to IGN, that said: "We understand that some Amazon customers have had their delivery of 'Gears of War 4: Ultimate Edition' delayed. Impacted customers should contact Amazon Customer Service as they work to resolve this issue."

Also on the discussion board, Amazon is trying its best to cope with the issue. Gamers are saying that they have received digital download codes, so they can start the game immediately. However, they will still receive their orders for the Ultimate Edition which includes a physical copy of the game. Others were offered discounts for their next purchase from the online retailer.

Meanwhile, the "Gears of War" movie is not dead. This was confirmed by Rod Fergusson, The Colations' Studio Head, via Twitter, and it said that they are currently working on the movie at Universal Studios. Fergusson said on a "Gears of War 4" live stream, via WCCFTech, "As a way to support the franchise the next logical step was to make the movie. We'd done comics and novels in the past, but the opportunity to work with Universal to bring the movie to life was perfect."

The Studio Head also mentioned that Scott Stuber ("Ted," "Ted 2," "The Kingdom," "Battleship" and "47 Ronin") and Dylan Clark ("Dawn of the Planet of the Apes," "Rise of the Planet of the Apes," "War for the Planet of the Apes," and "Oblivion") will be producing the film.

"Gears of War 4" will be released on Oct. 11 for the Xbox One and Windows 10 PC platforms.
