'General Hospital' spoilers, recap: Denise drops a bombshell

Thursday on "General Hospital," Sam confronted Hayden at the hospital about her pretending to lose her memory. Patrick arrived and found Sam ordering Hayden to tell her about Jake. Hayden told Patrick that she wanted Sam out of her room. Patrick pulled Sam out of the room and asked why she was doing this. Jake arrived and he asked them if everything was okay. Sam said that her friend was murdered last night. Jake told her he's sorry for her loss and headed into Hayden's room.

At the station, Kiki talked to Dante and told him that she didn't know why she believed Franco's lies. Nathan looked over the evidence and said that the only prints on the knife belong to Franco. Franco said he had nothing that he wanted to say, and at this Nathan told him he would be charged. Franco asked to make a phone call.

Meanwhile at Shadybrooke, Nina tried to call Franco but it only went to his voicemail. She called Ric, and he went to see her. She said that things were changing now that Silas is dead and added that she didn't kidnap Avery.

At Julian's place, Ava got a call from Morgan and they talked about Silas. Someone knocked on the door — it was Dante, who wanted to question Denise/ Ava about Silas' murder. Dante asked her why she called him last night, and she saied that she just wanted to invite him to a special dinner that she was planning for Kiki. When asked about her relationship with Franco, she said that they didn't have a relationship and that Franco was only dating her to make Nina jealous. Dante said that Franco had been arrested for the murder.

Obrecht arrived at the station and Franco told her that he didn't kill Silas. He said that he found Nina at the crime scene and that she wanted him to tell the police the truth. Franco said that Nina said she didn't do it, but Obrecht believed that Nina murdered Silas and mentioned how she was also responsible for kidnapping the baby. Franco said it was Silas who kidnapped the baby, and then, Franco realized who really killed him — it was Ava.

Here's what to expect on "General Hospital" on Friday, Aug. 7: Nikolas confirms Elizabeth's suspicions; Sam and Jake discuss how Elizabeth can't be trusted; Sonny and Carly confront Morgan; Denise drops a bombshell, Franco confides in Obrecht.

"General Hospital" airs from Monday to Friday at 1 p.m. on ABC.
